Privileged Information

In ''Privileged Information,'' Jessica Biel will portray high-profile Chicago attorney Kathleen Zellner back in the early 1990s, when Zellner handled the death penalty appeal of serial killer Larry Eyler.

The case was intriguing, as Eyler confessed 21 murders to Zellner, but their attorney-client relationship prevented her from revealing that information -- at the same time Zellner was being hunted by Eyler's killing partner.

According to Lichtenstein -- who also has worked here in TV news, created cable shows and owns a media training company with former TV anchor Joan Esposito -- Biel is very excited about the project, ''loves Chicago and really hit it off with Kathleen'' when Zellner went to L.A. to meet with the team creating this film

Chicagoan Jim Lichtenstein is delighted he's landed Glencoe native Clayton Frohman -- who penned last year's acclaimed ''Defiance,'' starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber -- to write the screenplay for Lichtenstein's ''Privileged Information'' film, starring Jessica Biel. The actress will also produce the movie with Lichtenstein, Michelle Purple and Wendy Rhoads -- a film about Chicago attorney Kathleen Zellner's relationship with serial killer Larry Eyler, a client. Lichtenstein is still hoping to shoot in Chicago and says ''the new soundstage being built here will be a great factor in that decision."
